I hadn’t read this since I was 15, and I really enjoyed it again! I never finished the series so plan to do that now. A much darker feel than a typical fantasy, but I guess that’s why it’s called his “dark materials.” I am not the hugest fan of Lyra, but the world building is pretty masterful. Yay for bears that can talk and pets that stay with you forever.
