I was so disappointed to find that a book I thought would at least end up a 4-star type once I got into it, ended up losing me in the last 50 to 100 pages. It essentially became a different book, in fact. I wasn't so bothered by the violence, or the lack of a real sort of consummation to the love story, or that some threads were left pretty loose, or the changing points of view and language--it was that it ended up being about something it failed to make me care much about for the majority of th ...more
