In Italy she meets Evelyn Barton-Forbes who is down on her luck after running away with a man who ends up being a cad. This book was just a really fun summer read. I will never go to Egypt so it was interesting to read about Cairo, sailing down the Nile, and working on an archeological dig. it definitely had an Indiana Jones feel to it with lots of tongue in cheek humor and villainous mummies, damsel in distress, and Amelia Peabody saving the day. the author has come up with a fun group of characters and I will definitely read more of the series this summer.
