This is an interesting mystery set in ancient Rome, when the main character, Didius Falco, is hired to solve a kidnapping, and instead stumbles onto corruption, murder, treachery, and much more. Falco must find his way through labrynthine plots and counterplots, and also has to work with deceitful, untrustworthy people.
