Marcus Falco is an informer in Rome during 70 AD. He rescues Sosia Camillina who is fleeing from a couple of thugs. He soon finds out they kidnapped her from her house because she has a silver pig from the mines in Britain which should be in the imperial treasury. Falco is hired by Sosia's uncle, a senator, to find out how the silver pig ended up lose in Rome. This one was out of print for many years, so it's good to see it making a return so we can learn how it all began with Falco and Helena. However, the ending's spoiled by later books in the series. ...more
