I read this so long ago I cannot remember what year I read it - maybe 2011 or 2012? I do remember it is a YA book and I enjoyed it very much. I love that it is set in Antarctica!
The pacing of this book is extremely slow, especially for something targeted at the young adult market. I don't really see much that would interest young adults in the content of the book either.
In the book, 'Sym', the fourteen-year-old female protagonist, is obsessed with a semi-fictional deceased Antarctic explorer named Titus Oates, and lives largely in her own mind.
