The beautiful imagery is what sells this one - there's not a whole lot of plot here, but Lukas's descriptions of his setting and its inhabitants are worth the time. ...more

As much as I loved this book, I kept waiting for the story to start. There are lots of detailed descriptions of Istanbul that bring the city alive
