Cloud Atlas is a uniquely written book. It tells the stories of six individuals in different time periods from the 1850's to far into the future. If this book hadn't been chosen for a book club, I would never have touched it - this sort of artsy and clever writing is normally not my thing at all. That said, this one works, particularly the sci-fi dystopia and Luisa Rey sections. Give it a spin and see what you think.
