What Members Thought

I should be a perfect target for this literary, historical fiction mystery. I was so excited to read something similar to The DaVinci Code - I've decided I have no shame about liking that genre, especially when the book is free from the library. But the details and slow pacing of this book make it so that I can't get past the first 100 pages - and it's been more than a month now. It took a bit to get pulled into the book and the characters, but once that happened, it was a great story and read. The setting--Boston & Cambridge--was a real plus, as were the historical characters: Longfellow, Holmes, Lowell, and J. T. Fields--the publisher (Atlantic Monthly & many other literary works).There is also some great background & insight into Dante Aligheri's classic poem, The Inferno.
