I regret not finishing this book before our book club discussion.
Such an interesting book on symbolism and imagery. It is difficult to write a review on this book because of the spoilers.
Is this book about believing vs. non-believing? Faith vs. science? Is it about a spiritual journey? Is it about God protecting a young man from the brutal truth? Denial vs. reality?

Overall, I was unimpressed with this book. It was very gross. The story was weird but intriguing. I think it was just too gross to enjoy too much. The best part of the book was the last 20 pages. I think I would have enjoyed it much more if it just wasn't so vile.
