The best thing about this novel is all the information it contains about Malta in the Second World War. It is quite atmospheric and certainly shows what the island went through during the period of aerial bombardment. Unfortunately, the crime plot doesn't live up to the setting. A murder mystery set on Malta during WW2. I found it a bit slow in parts due to far too much descriptive detail about plans and ships.
However it was a good plot and I enjoyed learning more about this island nation and an important part of their history.
