And I re-read this in 2021. I first read this book in 2007. Oh, and now I have four cats (which I never thought possible in 2007) and one is named Hemingway . . .
I re-read in part because this book and three others (The Stranger, The Kindness of Women and The Winter of Our Discontent) were part of the inspiration for my wife's (J.A. Carter-Winward) 2021 Literary Novel of the Year for Indie Reader, Wade.
