Deb (Readerbuzz) Nance
Heads are rolling in France. Aristocrats are being put under the guillotine, sometimes a hundred a day. Who can come to their rescue? Why, the Scarlet Pimpernel, of course.

Who is this mysterious gentleman? And how does he elude detection in his quest to save the aristocrats of France and bring them to safety in England?

A romp of an adventure.

It was a disappointing experience. After hearing so much about this book for so many years, the book itself with its stilted sentence structure and contrived dialogue felt very old and strange.
