What Members Thought

This book contains all my requirements for a 5 star read: it is a beautifully written piece of poetry in many places, the story is engaging and sucks you in, there are mysteries/puzzles/things that make you think...the only reason it gets a 4 star rating is the graphic war descriptions that kind of made my stomach turn. I can't wait to watch the film now. This one would get 4.5 stars if we could give 1/2 star ratings here.

I liked this book ... I think I liked it better when I realized the author was probably English, very proper and his writing style seems very classical. I had to hear the words coming out of the book with an English accent.
The story took me a while to get into - there was so much detail that took place before you found out a note was written and a little girl was confused.
Anyway - Atonement is a good thing with the hope that people do actually change for the better
