What Members Thought

Those versed in the political and religious philosophies of Turkey (that's not me!) will react to different aspects of this novel than I did. While previous reviewers find the narrator to be an intrusive voice, I view the narrator as yet another layer to this finely crafted novel. I am now positive that Orhan Pamuk is one of my favorite writers. I knew he is good after reading "My name is red", and now I understand why he received the Nobel Prize. The writer has a very interesting style and also he chooses interesting topics.
Like this book "Snow" that makes the reader to pose himself some important questions. You cannot help to ask yourself if you are happy or what makes someone happy.
