I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and am finding myself loving the classics right now, completely. It's like an escape from the modern world into a simpler, gentler time.
The one issue I have with this book is that there is tension throughout, and the reader keenly feels the discomfort of the heroine. We are pulling for her all the way, and she is surrounded by obstacles of all sorts. The resolution, however, comes so late in the novel that we don't really get the chance to enjoy it.
