Another re-read. I took a leisurely pace going back over this one. I still very much admire this book as a writer. It's interesting, too, though, because I can understand how some readers didn't gel with this one as quickly as some of Atwood's others. It struck me this time around how the fragmented, nonlinear (and book-within-a-book) structure might bog down an uninitiated reader during those key "shall I stick with this book" opening chapters.
