This book contains a novella and a short story, both dealing with the death of a loved one. Although I wouldn't say that Yoshimoto has a beautiful style, I do like her stories.

After completing this novella, I was reminded of the adage that great things come in small packages. A small novella but packed with load of emotion ranging from love, tragedy, grief, humor and much more.
