It kept my interest. I couldn't wait until the end of the day to curl up to this book. The author was unique (this was his first novel) and had good command of his writing. Intelligent author. Interesting premise -- a jerk of a guy, mid-thirties, gets in a serious car accident and is severely burned. In the hospital, a woman from the psych ward visits him, claiming she knew him. The concept of this novel is so original: a man ends up in a burn unit after carelessly drinking and driving. He is then visited by a mysterious woman who claims they fell in love back in the 14th century in Germany. This book will take you all the way to Iceland, Asia, and places in between. I really enjoyed not knowing what would come next. Great read.
