Wow! I loved this book. It's worth reading just for the imagery. The author did an amazing amount of research in so many areas. In what other story do you meet an ex-porn star who is a burn patient, learn about drug addictions, get to travel to Iceland, Germany, Japan, and get to travel through time? Page 121 is my favorite page! :) If you're considering reading this book, you ought to get away from the computer and get over to a book store or library - it's worth the read. ...more

It kept my interest. I couldn't wait until the end of the day to curl up to this book. The author was unique (this was his first novel) and had good command of his writing. Intelligent author. Interesting premise -- a jerk of a guy, mid-thirties, gets in a serious car accident and is severely burned. In the hospital, a woman from the psych ward visits him, claiming she knew him. In the year 1300. He figures it's just her schizophrenia, but then how did she know about his childhood scar. And othe ...more
