Even though it says 4 stars, I really gave this book 4.5. I walked into the bookstore and asked for a recommendation for people who enjoy the work of Junot Diaz. The guy behind the counter suggested White Tiger, and while I am not necessarily sure I agree with him, it was a great choice. It was candid, funny and brutally truthful. It really rang true, especially for someone who grew up in a developing country. Highly recommended

Honestly, I don't know what to say about this book. I've debated 1-5 stars and am compromising at 3. It will certainly be a lively discussion in tomorrow's book club!

Reading the reviews for this book was more entertaining & educational than the book itself. I got tired of hearing several phrases repeated by the narrator/driver...I could care less how often he wanted to "dip his beak" and I didn't like the overuse of the term, "sister-f'r" either. The book seemed to take much longer than necessary...especially listening to it on audio.
