Good book--I did predict some of the "big" moments, but strangely that didn't lessen their impact. The modern stuff about her husband is annoying sometimes.

I put down the Dorothy Lange book that I just couldn't get through & picked up this book. The topic is heavy - Jewish round-up in France ... but the melding of now & then was seamless. I would recommend this book without hesitation ...
