see weaves such rich, historical fiction filled with complex female relationships, i find i have a hard time walking away from the characters when the book ends.

while i have no idea of the accuracy of the time period portrayed, the story feels authentic due to the vivid descriptions of settings and daily tasks.

recommended for those who want to travel back in time to chinese country villages or for those who would like further insig

2.5. I DNFed this book twice before finally getting through the whole thing. I did not care for it.
