Claire Randall is vacationing with her husband Frank in Scotland after World War Two and trying to rekindle her marriage after many years apart. Claire is picking plants in a stone circle when she travels through a time portal and ends up in Scotland in the 1700's. Claire soon becomes involved in life of the time and finds herself attracted to Jamie Fraser. I liked it most of the time, found it a slog part of the time. I was glad that the issues of Clare's circumstances and choices were finally discussed. I didn't like that Jamie was too perfect and Randall so evil. One of the things I enjoy about Game of Thrones, for instance, is that no one is too good or too evil (a few exceptions, but most of the characters are multidimensional), something I didn't find to be true in Outlander. Got as far as Disc 7 (of 28) and decided I'd had enough. ENOUGH. I just don't care what happens to Claire and Jamie.
