I was really reluctant to read this book because the premise sounded stupid to me but I kept getting pressed to read it and wanting something lighter I finally gave in. I ended up very much enjoying this book. The time travel thing was something that I could get past because it wasn't the main crux of the story. It's a great romance and also gives a little (very little) insight into Scottish Highland life. It did make we want to go back to Scotland very much.

Hmm, I think it's my third time reading this book and, as usual, I really enjoy the first 3/4s and suuuuper struggle with that last 1/4. So brutal. I think this is the first time I've read it since seeing parts of the TV series, and I definitely couldn't shake those versions of Claire and Dougal which I was totally fine with, but Jamie remains my own original mental conjuring.
