I don't get it. I'm quitting half way through. I like the simple writing style, but the point of the story isn't working for me. So I'm done.

A bit like some of the other reviews. I'd almost forgotten I'd read this and only kept pushing on due to the number of (old) great reviews. The newer ones seem to have the same imprression as me, A simple fable of a young shepherds travels but there is little wonder, excitement or much of anything.Feel sometimes that it must be me but in this case just didn't get it.

This is a hard one to review. I was, like some others, underwhelmed no matter on what level I was trying to get into it. I expected more. Liked "The Zahir" better.
