Tatiana de Rosnay este o scriitoare de origine franceză care promite mult, iar scris de ea am citit până acum Anotimpul ploilor, o carte care nu prea s-a ridicat la așteptările mele. Deși putea fi o super carte. Se numea Sarah este o carte extraordinară ce a fost ecranizată în 2010. Volumul a apărut la editura Litera în colecția Blue Moon, în 2016. Book shifts from one time frame to another. What connects the various stories is an apartment in Paris where a Jewish family lived until July 1942 when they were separated and sent to prison camps. Who lived in the apartment after that time and what eventually happened to the Jewish family form the framwork of the tale.

de Rosnay sheds needed light on an under-examined event in France's WWII history in this five-hankie affair and addresses the harm that can emerge from collective amnesia about unpalatable choices. That said, I'm not entirely convinced by the medical angle here; the therapeutics described seem odd to me, even allowing for differences between the French and American systems. ...more

Simply. Amazing

Very rarely do I leave a review on a book or give it 5 stars. But Sarah’s Key had me gripped from the moment I began reading it. It takes a lot for a book to make me cry. And this book hit me hard. There is a movie that I plan to watch
