What Members Thought
It’s a little odd to rate this book given that it feels too close to home and I feel a personal obligation to rate it better due to the tribulations and trials my fellow Singaporean had fo go through. However, while it highlights harsh castaway truths of societal inequality, I feel like the author did not pursue enough basis and justification for the claims she had written. The narratives felt rather lackluster, stereotyped and typecast that it pulled the reader away from feeling genuinely sorry
