This is a good YA romance book about a girl from Miami whose family sends her to England after she has three big losses in her life and practically has a nervous breakdown. She is not happy about going but eventually finds her way back to herself and also finds a new love interest as well as a new food interest.
“We can find ourselves again, even if we have to start by leaning on all we used to be for years.” It’s a good story filled with coming of age issues while seeking independence. I wish there was at least one recipe in here to give non-Cuban readers a taste of the culture.
