What Members Thought
3.5 stars. This memoir reads like a novel, and I finished it in just a few hours. I'd subtitle this one as "Rich people behaving very, very badly". The author is a talented writer, and this portrait of her charismatic but extremely self-centered mother (who involves the author, then only 14, in a wildly inappropriate con when she falls for her husband's best friend) is well worth the reading.
