I read this book because two of the BTS members read it in an episode of their show In The Soop. And I’m glad I did. I liked this a lot. I found it interesting and it ably held my attention and the pages went by fast.
CW: violence to teens and animals
I'm not hardcore ARMY but I did pick this up because it's a BTS read and the cover is lovely. I see the comparison to The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time given the first-person POV of the neurodiverse lead but it's not apples to apples actually because Curious was a mystery and so had more "action" than this book, which is a coming-of-age tale. I really liked this YA story of two young boys, and their friendship. Yunjae has a condition called Alexithymia, where a person feels no emotion, which unfortunately leads children bullying him, to force him to react. One boy, Gon is determined to make him react.
