I really enjoyed this. A love story set across a time of political turmoil and spanning several decades. Enough historical detail to tell the story without making it heavy to read.
This is a beautifully written book about a tangled love story. The story jumps back and forth between 1953 in Tehran, and 2013 near Boston, and a few other years. The writings full of descriptive imagery of sights, sounds, and especially tastes. As the book unfolds the reader learns more about what happened at the beginning, and even what happened previously to create the circumstances of this and other beautiful, complicated, and tragic relationships. 4.5 stars!
Thoroughly enjoyable.
