I really don't like Science Fiction or Time Travel, and this is both, but so well written and peppered with interesting factual material that I loved it. Also considering that this book was written in the 90's, surprisingly appropriate and relevant to the events 2020 and 2021.

What a great story, even in the slow or sad parts! There is plenty of action and dialogue but also some very detailed prose. I find it easier to listen to longer books and this was no exception. The metaphor near the end about the responsibility we feel when sending others to a place with unknown dangers gathers the whole narrative together.

This was a really good book! I thoroughly enjoyed it. Even more than "To Say Nothing of the Dog"! I like the time travel and the way the two stories paralleled each other throughout the novel. Very well done.
