This book was entertaining and I could picture it as a dark comedy on HBO or Netflix. Korede's character in particular was complexly portrayed, even though I wasn't satisfied with some of her moral choices or her lack of growth overall. But Braithwaite can certainly write a compelling book! I appreciated the examination of gender expectations and how one's childhood experiences (specifically involving family) have a direct impact on adulthood behavior and beliefs. ...more

Well this was just awesome! It's a quick read but intense and so much in such few pages. This takes place in Lagos, Nigeria. It's exactly what the titles says, Korede's sister is a serial killer. Korede knows this, but what does she do with that information?
I love how well this is written, that there is no wasting time (the author gets right to the point without losing details), how different all the characters are, and the setting. ...more
