I really loved this compulsively readable story about a young woman in her 20s searching for answers about her Korean mother's recent death and past life. This book, which is beautifully written, explores the harsh realities of immigrating to the United States and how oppression and poverty affects opportunities and relationships. It's also a touching story about lost loves and lost family, about second chances and forgiveness.
