I really loved this compulsively readable story about a young woman in her 20s searching for answers about her Korean mother's recent death and past life. This book, which is beautifully written, explores the harsh realities of immigrating to the United States and how oppression and poverty affects opportunities and relationships. This was a sad but beautiful story. The mother /daughter relationship was complicated. I liked both Mina and Margot. They were shaped by their environment and their upbringing. Wonderful story
