I'm a fan of Mbue's previous novel, and had really high expectations for this book. But... though I know the theme is very important and relevant, and so much real, I can't get into the writing style. I understand that the story was written as if it's told as a lore from one generation to the next. But the lack of dialogue and the excruciating details made this book a bit boring for me.
