Woh! (the correct spelling is "whoa", but I like "woh" better). Just simply WOH! I did -not- see that coming... the ending... which I won't reveal so as not to spoil. But WOH!

Everyone's on a Frieda McFadden kick for their thriller fix, but McFadden's books leave way too many loopholes. I did not find loopholes with Alex Michaelides's novel. It was tight, well-written, not bogged down with detail, yet not too sparse either. It kept my interest the entire way through.

Brilliantly wriiten. But, at about half way stage, you can guess the plot. That does not take away from the story telling. Grim novel.

I was feeling a bit smug as I thought that I had this one all figured out. I really like it when I am wrong. The 4 stars are because I stayed interested enough to read this quickly and the twist. Some of the story (especially the last 15%) was not that great and I did a few eye rolls but overall, a good psychological thriller.
