What Members Thought
This one goes well beyond push-the-envelope. Simply put, there is no envelope. Brutal. So much so that I can't really say I enjoyed it, in part because there is no relief whatsoever. Another horror writer who can be quite brutal, Richard Laymon, can at least supply some (very dark) humor. That isn't the case with Ketchum. As an extreme example of what can be done with Horror fiction, I suppose Off Season has a place of importance. Just not for me.
