Ridiculous but an entertaining escape from the current reality. I'm a sucker for dodgy motels and creepy small towns so that bumped it up for me. I also spent more time reading the ebook than listening to the audiobook, and I think that made things less angsty and keep it all moving. It's one of those so many bad men books which you have to be in the mood to read.
