This may be the most intriguing books of John Grisham for any booklovers. The theme, surprisingly, is about books: bookshop, bookseller, writer, booklover, and... old manuscript. It is so unexpected because Grisham never touched any topic related to book world before, and believe me, Camino Island is a real treat!

Is every book with Island in the name just a summer read? No of course not - Shutter Island was amazing - but this book was John Grisham Lite - his version of a summer read. it was enjoyable - lots of beach scenes and outdoor bar scenes and a jaunt to paris - I can imagine him expensing those trips to research the book. And lots of making fun of writers and publishers - with their insistence on deadlines for the next book and their excessive use of alcohol. So I imagine he has had writer's block
