I don't really know anything about the Victorian explorer Dr. Livingstone, other than the vague sense that he was poking around Africa seeking to make his name by "discovering" the source of the Nile. I definitely didn't know that his corpse was transported from the inland to the coast by part of his large retinue, and that premise was enough to hook me.
