This is not a book for the queasy. I picked it up at a Half-Price bookstore because I loved the BBC series Wire in the Blood which is based upon McDermid's books about profiler Tony Hill and police detective Carol Jordan. The series is sometimes a bit too dark for me, but nothing compared to this book. The third in the Hill/Jordan series, this book picks up with Hill and Jordan living in different cities.
