Time travel, large dollops of Irish history with peripheral characters playing important roles, and Yeats' poetry, plus romance. Sounds like a strange mixture, but it comes together in a very readable book. Once the two main characters have been introduced, things seemed somewhat pedestrian, until suddenly the story took off in an unexpected directions and kept me turning pages (metaphorically speaking, this was a kindle read after all) until the end. ...more
