“The outback”–no not the steakhouse chain, but that hellishly hot, sparsely populated part of Australia where there are more cattle or sheep than people. I enjoyed this book. I really love how it takes place in the Australian Outback. I don't think I've ever read a book in that setting.
This is a family-drama / mystery. Told through the voice of the eldest of three brothers. When one of the brothers dies it's put down as suicide but not everyone thinks that's how it happened.
It's not fast paced or that complex, but it's also not boring and not that predictable. I look forward to reading more by Harper. ...more
