Set in post World War I England, this mystery has everything: great characters, including a feisty young woman who is the main character, a good setting, a glimpse into the horrors returning soldiers and nurses felt after the war, a country house containing an interesting family, a bit of romantic interest and of course, some villains you love to hate. It is very well-written and absorbing, and in general, is just a great historical mystery.

This was an engrossing fun mystery, set in post WW1 England. Jessica Fellowes is Julian Fellowes’ niece, and has written a Downton Abbey Book. This is not really like Downton Abbey, but appealed to me similarly, if that makes any sense.
