Feeling a bit uninspired to write a review about a book that was, in so many ways, just pretty middling. The book begins stronger than it ends, and the road between the two points seems well-trodden, a bit muddy, and not all that interesting. Really solid, well-plotted detective story with engaging characters. The author has been compared to Tana French, and this first in a series novel holds much promise for more excellent crime Irish crime fiction.
