This is such a charming picture book!!! I admit, I approached it with a bit of trepidation, because, you know ... cockroaches. But it's very very cute.
I'm not sure if I'm completely on board with the idea of needing to find a husband as soon as you reach adulthood, so I can't give it five stars, but I did enjoy this very much. I absolutely loved this book! it's a Cuban folktale about a cockroach that is looking for a husband.
This has a mix of Spanish and English (English readers will have no problem with this - the translation is written right after).
Illustrations are gorgeous! Which is the reason I actually got the book in the first place.
