Vintage page-turner by one of my favourite Australian authors. This one is an ensemble piece. Moriarty does a great job at juggling 12 different characters; I was never confused as to who was who (although at times I did have to concentrate very hard) and giving each person an intriguing backstory and fleshed out physicality. The Agatha-Christie-esque country house theme is transferred to a lonely country health resort. There is psychological interest, humour, romance, anguish, a sinister on-the

I really like Liane Moriarty books, but this one was my least favorite so far. Liane is gifted to create fun characters that are interesting. This book started out great with an eclectic group going to a health spa retreat. It took an unexpected twist. Warning this book has some profanity. 3.5 stars.

Unexpected! I liked it but it was quite a departure from the others of hers I’ve read. Still a mysterious with interesting characters and some intrigue but sunnier and lighter somehow. I’m going with 3 stars but could have gone with 3 if I was in a different mood. Overall, another Moriarty that I’m glad to have read!
