I can't give spoilers. I hate it when people ruin things for me. It's a very good book. The movie trailer sparked my interest in the story and its a book you very much get invested in and read long into the night. Which is why I'm so tired now. I had to finish. I also need the next book ASAP. We're talking after work. Read it. Don't read spoilers. Make your ultimate decision on it when you read the last page. ❤️

Superb

This is one of the reasons I love being in a book club. I would never have picked this book - even with the really high ratings on Goodreads. But it was a wonderful read - so many poignant scenes and controversial issues. I really cared about Lou, Will, Katrina and the parents. When an author gets you so involved in the characters, that is a mark really good writing, even though at the beginning i thought it was too simple. Looking forward to the discussion.

While not a literary masterpiece, the story pulled me in and I found myself nearly missing my stop on the train several times I was so engrossed in the lives of the main characters. Their story provides context and background for larger ethical questions around the meaning and quality of ones life. And while there are some moments that feel a bit contrived it never goes too far into unrealistic romance to take you away from the main themes being raised.
