I think I will to explain the rating on this book. I would have given this 3 stars, but I really appreciated the information in this book. I knew very little about Bangladesh, except that it was a part of Pakistan (split from India, in 1947) until 1971, other than that, I really didn't know anything, Siddiqui gives a very succinct history of Bangladesh from 1971 to 2013. I am eager to know more about the area.
